Another of the remarkable finds in the museum at Flag Fen Bronze Age Centre, Peterborough, Cambs. Another find that can be seen there are the remains of the earliest wheel found in Britain - a narrow wheel that may have been used on a hand cart or similar. I couldn't photograph the wheel, due to its presentation making photography difficult. Archaeologists don't usually find prehistoric wooden artifacts - they just find flint, stone, and metal artifacts - and of course soil stains. Flag Fen was a unique site.
