Jacob was born around 1865 in the Wiltshire village of Langley Burrell - son of a gamekeeper. He travelled all over southern Britain, and finally settling with his family at Burghfield Common, Berkshire - where this photograph was taken. Jacob was a 'jack of all trades', and the great grandfather of my wife.
