Buckenham St Nicholas, south view. There are three parishes named Buckenham in Norfolk. Old and New Buckenham are located adjacent each other in South Norfolk, while Buckenham St Nicholas is located on the north side of the River Yare in East Norfolk. The church tower is one of only five octagonal examples found in the county. The headstones of some of my ancestors lay in the graveyard. The church remains concencrated, but is no longer in regular use.
